A couple weekends ago my shopping buddy (heeey Monika gurl!) took me to a local vintage haven in my new home of Brooklyn. Established in 1997, Beacons Closet can only be compared to a hipsters wishing well of amazing finds FOR THE CHEAP!
They’ve gotten tons of press from Vogue to Vanity Fair because of all their designer dud finds and wide selection. And I have to agree that this Williamsburg loft is a definite treasure.
Exhibit A: Embossed Navy Clutch
Stumbled upon this adorable leather clutch marked $15. Took it up to the counter and noticed as I unzipped it in front of the cashier that it had a Marc Jacobs seal inside!
That’s right an authentic Marc Jacobs wallet for over 75% off the original price.Can’t beat that deal with a stick.

Loves this place! They have a mix of trendy everywhere (Forever, H&M-esque pieces) and designer dudes. The best part is everything is preeeety affordable, discounting the L.A.M.B. pumps I spotted. AND it’s off Canal Street, so if you want to cop a faux Fendi to match your new outfit, no need to go far.

Rachel Roy will be having a pop-up sale in Soho from September 10th to the 20th. Her high end brand will be sold for the cheap (relatively) as a great beginner to Fashion Week.

The rustic setting perfectly coincides with the eclectic array of women’s and men’s clothing. All the designers are fairly unknown to the mainstream, which only adds to the fly-ness of the store. Lines at the store include: Gentle Fawn, Paper Denim & Cloth, Soundgirl, Shades of Gliege and Penfield. Also boasting their chic LA location, Una Mae’s has definitely gained a loyal following of fashion lovers in the Chi.
